Geo Terrane Consultants is a geospatial technology and geological investigation firm headquartered in Miran Sahib, Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir.

Who we are

A team built across four disciplines

We work at the intersection of earth science and engineering — helping government agencies, infrastructure developers and private clients understand the ground beneath their projects before they build.

Our team brings together geologists, geophysicists, GIS analysts and licensed drone pilots to deliver survey and mapping outputs that are accurate, defensible, and ready to feed directly into design and planning workflows.

What we do

Advanced geospatial technology, applied to real ground

We specialise in geospatial technologies and geological investigations that support urban planning, infrastructure development and environmental sustainability.

That means subsurface utility mapping ahead of a metro alignment, LiDAR-based terrain models of Himalayan slopes, and drone surveys for site monitoring — whatever the question about the ground happens to be.

Our approach

Four steps, every project

The same discipline applies whether the scope is 400 metres of metro corridor or a whole hillside.

STEP 01

Understand the site

Every project starts with a clear scope: what needs to be detected, mapped or measured, and to what accuracy. We agree that in writing before anyone mobilises.

STEP 02

Deploy the right technology

We match the instrument to the problem — a 400 MHz GPR antenna for shallow utilities, an RTK-GNSS receiver for millimetre-level control points, drone LiDAR where ground access is impractical.

STEP 03

Process and verify

Field data is processed in industry-standard software — ArcGIS, RADAN, ENVI, Rocscience and others — and cross-checked against site observations before anything is delivered.

STEP 04

Deliver actionable outputs

Reports, GIS layers and spatial datasets — including KML and shapefiles — that plug directly into your design or planning process rather than sitting in a PDF.
